Steve Kurian, President and Founder

Steve has been providing quality tree care in Bloomsburg and the surrounding areas since 1998. Steve holds an Associates Degree in Forest Technology from the Pennsylvania College of Technology and a Bachelors Degree in Forestry from Penn State University. Steve has been an arborist for Arborist Enterprises in Lancaster, PA, a timber feller for logging contractors in the Rocky Mountains and started Susuquehanna Tree Care in 1998.  In addition to the tree care business, Steve runs a successful Alaska seafood business based in Bloomsburg, Wild for Salmon, and a commercial salmon fishing operation in Bristol Bay Alaska during the summer months.  "Our goal at STC is to provide professional tree care in the community while improving the health of our urban forest one tree at a time."

John Hopkins, Estimator

John Hopkins, forester and arborist, will assist you with tree care consultations, diagnosis and job estimating. John is a real 'tree guy' having worked in forestry and arboriculture for over 35 years. John has a degree in Forest Management Science from The School of Natural Resources, Colorado State University. He has been a Certified Forester with the Society of American Foresters and a Certified Arborist with the International Society of Aboriculture. John's past work experience includes managing trees for The Barnes Arboretuum, the U.S. Forest Service, the Colorado State Forest Service, private sawmills and timber harvesting contractors. Since 1994, John has worked as a forestry consultant helping landowners manage their forests. John enjoys the challenge of managing trees as a community (forestry) and as individuals (arboriculture). At STC, John's is goal is to "improve the health, growth and aesthetics of our clients trees".

Rich Greene, Arborist Foreman ISA Certified Arborist

One of Susquehanna Tree Care's certified arborists, Rich began working in trees as a challenge course facilitator and has always been drawn to natural settings. He is passionate about trees and enjoys working with clients to help them address any concerns regarding trees that may be present. He is a certified arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture and earned bachelor degrees in Environmental Planning and Earth Science from Bloomsburg University and a master's degree in organizational management from Misericordia University. When not working in trees, you may find Rich teaching motorcycle safety courses, taking individuals with disabilities skiing through the adaptive snowsports program at Jack Frost Ski Resort .  Rich combines several talents in that he is an expert climber, an expert with a chainsaw and possesses the talent to balance a tree's aesthetics and structure while maintaining a safe work site.
